I
hope that your child had an excellent first week of school! If you have any
questions regarding the classroom, feel free to email me.
This
year the students will have a 30 minute Lyceum (Study Hall/ Reading Enrichment)
time four days a week (not Wednesday) from 2:50- 3:20. This time will be used
for various activities including, but not limited to: reading instruction (if
deemed necessary), homework/study hall, silent reading, read alouds, and
tutoring (if deemed necessary). This will give more opportunity for other
after-school activities for the students.
Curriculum
Night is approaching quickly! On Wednesday, September 2nd at
6:30-8pm, parents of 3rd- 5th graders are invited to
their child’s classroom to learn about the daily routine, classroom
expectations, and yearly curriculum. On that evening, we ask that you don’t
bring your children. Thank you for your understanding.
Reminders:
- The
students need their own copy of The
Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis
- If
you are coming on campus to volunteer, you must sign in with the front
desk. You must also have fingerprint clearance through Great Hearts.
- All Wednesdays are early release days. Archway students will be dismissed at 12:30pm. We will not have lunch on Wednesdays. Those students who stay after school for clubs or Athenaeum may bring their own lunch to eat. If you plan on having your child stay after school in study club, or any other offered club, you must sign up and pay for these clubs. Please check the weekly Headmaster Updates for more information.
Class Wish List: Large
dispenser of hand sanitizer, anti-bacterial wipes, and red pencils. Fulfilling
these wishes will really help to make our classroom run smoothly.

may be asked to send in these materials more than once this year. Thank you!

specifically the lakes of North America and Eurasia. We will have a test on the material on
